EDUCATION: 1992 - Wellington-Napoleon High School; 1996 - Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Missouri (MIZ - ZOU!); 2017 - Obtained teaching certification from DESE by completing the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) program.

EXPERIENCE: Upon graduation from college, I was a computer programmer for DST and Sprint in downtown KC for several years.  I then made a career change and taught math at Wentworth Junior College for 18 years until they closed their doors.  I have taught high school math here at Concordia since 2017.  I have more than 25 years of experience teaching all levels of mathematics.  I am also the Freshman Class and Math Relays sponsor, in addition to the PDC chair.

FAMILY: I have been married to my wonderful husband Tom since 1996. We are the proud parents of one son - Austin, who graduated high school from Wellington-Napoleon in 2022. My husband works at Ford and my son is a field-service diesel mechanic for KC Bobcat.  My hubby and I live in rural Wellington.

HOBBIES: My hobbies include reading (I go nowhere without my Kindle), singing, and being active in our church.  I love to watch MIZZOU games and especially KC Chiefs football. 

ACTIVITIES:  I frequently lend my voice to various things at First Baptist Church in Odessa.  I have also served terms on the Wellington-Napoleon School Board and the Kids First Education Foundation of Wellington-Napoleon.
