Career & Technical Education

Dear Parents & Guardians:

Career and technical education opportunities afforded by the district are offered regardless of race, color, national origin, sex or disability.  The district offers career and technical education programs in Family and Consumer Sciences, Business Education, and Agriculture Education on site. Students may enroll in these courses from the start of their high school career.  Some of the courses may have pre-requisites.  The high school counselor, Brianne Bredehoeft, 660-463-2246 can help students and parents with scheduling questions.

 

Students may also take advantage of career and technical education in the following areas at Carrolton Area Career Center, Carrolton, MO:  Agriculture, Building Trades, Business, Graphic Arts, Health Occupations, Marketing, Success Center, and Welding.  Students must be in their junior and senior year to take advantage of courses at the career-technical school.  Students must complete an application for admittance and undergo and interview.  Student attendance and grade point average are considered for admission into the program.  The high school counselor, Brianne Bredehoeft, can also answer student and parent question regarding attending career-technical school.
