I grew and went to school K-12 in Russell, KS, graduating in 1994. After high school, I attended Kansas State University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, graduating in 1999. After graduation, I substitute taught in my hometown for a year before finding a job in Stover, Mo and moving there, where I taught for 22 years. I spent 16 of those years teaching 4th grade and then moved up to 5th/6th grades for the final 6 years. In 2019, I met my husband Michael, we were then married in 2021. In 2020, I moved to Concordia. Then in the fall of 2022, I began teaching 5th and 6th grades here in Concordia and have been since. I also spent 4 years as an assistant coach for the Orioles Softball team, where I was honored to be able to be a part of 3 State Softball teams, winning twice and coming in second once. My husband and I have a farm in the area and I enjoy spending time taking care of the animals (we have lots of chickens, 3 horses, and 4 dogs). In my spare time I enjoy reading and relaxing in the pool (weather permitting). It has been great becoming part of this school and this community! Go Orioles!
