Hunter's Education Course Offered During Summer School

Just a reminder: that if you are taking hunter’s safety ecology course for summer school, that you will need an email address and access to a credit card when the course is completed to pay $15 for your certificate.

Class starts at 8 AM on Monday. If you have already bought a turkey tag or deer tag, then you should already have a conservation #. Bring that too.

If your child has ear buds or head phones, they can bring them to plug them into the computer so that they can hear the online videos and lessons.

Once they have completed the 6-8 hour online portion, then they may take the skills test portion on June 12th, Tuesday from 8 AM til Noon. You must be present for the entire time and you must bring your birth certificate on this day.;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During summer school this year, June 4th to June 22nd, Hunter’s education through the MDC will be offered too. If your child would like to take the class, then they will have to be at least 11 years old. The cost will be $15 when they complete the online portion, which they will pay by credit card via online. On the first day, June 4th, they will need to have a working email address for their parents also.

They will also need their birth certificate on the test day, as well as their conservation number, if they already have one. It would be on their youth deer or turkey tags.

If they are going to be in 7th or 8th grade next year, they will need to take the summer school class to do the hunter’s ed portion. Any other student at CHS is welcome to take the hunter’s ed portion, but they MUST be there on June 4 th from 8 AM to 9 AM and then again on the test day on June 13th. If they are not taking the summer school class, then during the other days, they will need to do the online portion at home and on their own. It will take approximately 6 hours to complete. I recommend at least 3, 2 hour sessions or 6 individual 1 hour sessions. You can do it in your free time.

On the Test day, June 12th, they will need to be at the high school at 8 AM and will not be done until around 12:30 PM. They will need to bring their completed online certificate that day also.

Please email beiz@concordia.k12.mo.us if you have any questions.
