The South doors of the High School will be unlocked between 7:30 and 8:10 a.m. to enter the building.

After 8:10 you will need to use the intercom system to enter the building.

The board updated the 2012-13 Calendar. 

We will be attending school on the following dates as make up days:

Tuesday, May 21

Wednesday, May 22

Thursday, May 23

Friday, May 24-11:30 Dismissal (last day of school)

There will be a meeting on Wednesday night, May 15, at 6:00 p.m., in the media center for 8th grade students and their parents.

Mrs. Brunkhorst will discuss scheduling for next year.

Color Guard tryouts will be May 15 and 17 at CES from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Do not wear jeans; wear athletic clothing instead.

Volleyball Players for next school year need to stop by Mrs. Basye’s room in between classes to pick up forms for league this summer.

Students who are trying out for high school cheerleading should remember that spirit posters and signed Constitutions are due the morning of Tuesday, May 21.

Finals Testing Schedule

Tuesday, May 21—A Day—2nd and 4th periods

Wednesday, May 22—B Day—2nd and 4th periods

Thursday, May 23—A Day—1st and 3rd periods

Friday, May 24—B Day—1st and 3rd periods

 

The time schedule for the last day will be:

1st period  (8:10-9:35)

Tutor Time  (9:40-10:00)

3rd period  (10:05-11:30)

 

School will release at 11:30

Session Options:

9:00 am – 12:00 pm or 12:30-3:30 pm

Open to all ages

Camp staff will include other current and former collegiate softball players

 Name and age

One defensive position (pitcher, catcher, infield or outfield)

List session options in order of preference. Write 1 next to your first option

and 2 next to the other option. If you cannot attend one of them, write no next to it.

Summer School Information:

 

We still need three more students to sign up for Personal Finance for summer school in order for the class to be offered this summer. It is no too late to enroll; pick up an enrollment form from the office.

 

The Dual Credit Summer School Schedule is listed below:

*Public Speaking (ITV): May 20-Aug 1; M-T-W-Th 8:00-10:00

Psychology (ITV): May 21-Aug 1; M-T-W-Th 10:15-12:15

College Algebra: June 10-July 19; M-T-W-Th-F  1:00-3:00

There are other online classes available; see Mrs. Hemme.

 

*If you are attending the Florida Band trip, Public Speaking will not work for you.

 

Regarding Dual Credit classes:

  •       Band students, who are considering taking Summer Psychology DC with Mrs. Brunkhorst, please note you WILL not be docked for the week you are gone on the Florida trip. So if you want to take the class, PLEASE SIGN UP!!
  •       All juniors and seniors for the 2013-14 school year need to know that we are offering Eng 101-102 DC 1st period on B days. It is coded as Comp 4 with Mrs. Moulton.
  •       If you want to take dual credit classes for next year, you will need to turn in forms ASAP.

There are just a few 2011-2012 yearbooks available for sale.  Anyone interested in purchasing one may do so before or after school with Mrs. Knipmeyer.  The cost is $42 and you would need to make your check payable to Concordia R-2 Schools.    We have a few copies of the 2010-2011, 2008-2009, and 2007-2008 book available for $5.   Send a check made payable to Concordia R-2 Schools and note which year you are interested in purchasing.  See Mrs. Knipmeyer if you are interested in older editions to see if they are available.

As required by HOUSE BILL NO. 1375 effective August 28, 2010, 167.182.  1. “The department of health and senior services shall develop an informational brochure relating to the connection between human papillomavirus and cervical cancer, and that an immunization against the human papillomavirus infection is available. The department shall make the brochure available on its website and shall notify each public school district in the state of the availability of the brochure to be printed and included or referred to in any other printed material to be provided directly to parents as the school district deems appropriate. However, materials made available pursuant to this section may only be distributed to parents directly and not distributed to students as material to be given to parents.”

When writing checks to our school, please be sure to make them out to Concordia R-2 Schools

Our banks are requesting that all checks deposited be written only to the proper title on our 

accounts. When writing checks for meals or fundraisers please do so as listed above.

The Parent Portal section of our student management software is now available to parents of CHS students.

This means that you, as parents, will have access to your student’s attendance, grades and discipline information.

If you are interested in gaining web access to your student’s records, please email Mr. Marnholtz at

tmarnholtz@concordia.k12.mo.us and state that you would like access.

 

After your request, you will receive information on the use of the STI Information Now software Parent Portal that

will be helpful in navigating the information.

Attention Parents:  Concordia High School does not have an open lunch policy. Please do not call to give 

permission for you children to leave for lunch and please do not bring soda for students at lunch. Sodas 

are not allowed in the cafeteria during lunch due to federal regulations.
